Description

Spicy chicken fried rice with authentic Chinese flavours give you a perfectly wonderful and scrumptious taste. Chicken Fried Rice is a popular and most loved dish for kids and adults alike.

Cooking steps

  1. In a medium pan over medium heat, heat olive oil. Season chicken with salt and pepper on both sides, then add to the pan and cook until golden and tender. Remove from pan and let rest for 5 minutes, then cut into bite-sized pieces.
  2. To the same pan, heat 1 tablespoon sesame oil. Add 1 medium-sized chopped onion and 2 carrots peeled and diced, and cook until soft, add 3 minced garlic cloves and 1 tbsp freshly minced ginger and cook until fragrant. Stir in 4 cup cooked rice and ¾ cup peas and cook until warmed.
  3. Push rice to one side of the pan and add the remaining sesame oil to other side. Add 3 large beaten eggs and stir until almost fully cooked, then fold eggs into rice. Add chicken back to the pan with 3 tbsp soy sauce and 2 thinly sliced green onions and stir to combine.
